You can also use a big old 1-1/8 socket on the adapter.

These also ship with our suppressors that take HUB sized (1.375-24) adapters and will work on the suppressors and adapters across our rifle and pistol line. I'm assuming you mean the Xeno Adapter, which fits in the suppressor and has the hook spanner slots that are narrow (to keep length and weight down), but they're sized appropriately for our wrench set (part number TL-PACK). People give us crap because they're too meaty. 35" wide so a standard wrench from anyone's toolbox will fit. The left-hand thread precludes people from shooting a suppressor that may loosen while in action.īy "wrench flats aren't meaty", do you mean the wrench flats on the muzzle device? Because they're. Hi I'm the guy you'd want to tag! The good news is that if the Xeno Adapter comes loose in the suppressor (or the muzzle device on the barrel) as you tighten the suppressor down, you stopped yourself from having it loosen while shooting. I wish DA released more info about what the time frame is on new muzzle devices for the xeno. I should buy a dedicated wrench (or a spanner), but I use painters tape and a cresent wrench and I have to be careful not to dick it up. wrench flats arent meaty as mentioned above.

I will likely expand to buying more when I get more cans out of jail. the wrench flats arent super meaty on the xeno so if I manage to work it loose again, I will have to bother DA and figure out what size spanner I need and to use some rocksett how do I tag the deadair guy? I will say I have managed to work the mount loose already on my mg7 (because of the reverse threads).

Im sure the longevity is fine, but the simplicity and reverse threads are what edged the xeno out for me. I really wanted to go for the Kurz for length (or lack thereof), but I was not sold on the longevity of the retainment/ratchet system. I passed on the keymo when I saw the price, weight, and the few threads that popped up every 4-6 weeks regarding faulty keymos (I haven't seen any threads in a while so im hoping they took care of whatever issues they were having). For something familiar and rock solid, you know exactly how that KeyMount system works too.Ħish months ago (before my first cans cleared) I narrowed it down to 3 systems: keymo, xeno, and Kurz. We have a YUGE amount of styles and threads coming out and some fun industry partners will make their own versions. My best advice: For something different, try the Xeno. I can't count how many customers have contacted me to do the math for them even when they know the length of a muzzle device. Also, we didn't pre-drill the Xeno mounts because we don't want people to just assume that because it's pre-drilled that it'll magically make their barrel long enough. 060" shorter, so you'll want that thick spacer in most shim kits to sit behind it. Xeno flash hider will take a 14.5 barrel with. Other brands don't allow for this at all (namely the one that just has a raw finish). KeyMount muzzle devices have a tone of clearance for this.

Both Xeno and KeyMount systems handle A TON of abuse, KeyMount pulls ahead when it comes to that little bit extra vibration on a machinegun and for carbon buildup on the muzzle device (remember you have to pull the can off the muzzle device, so if too much carbon builds up, it becomes like that monkey that reaches through the hole to get the banana. When looking at all mounts across the QD spectrum, the KeyMo arguably has the best record for not letting cans get shot off, and is the hands down winner for not letting the suppressor get carbon-locked on the gun.įor the OP, it really depends on what you want. It's good to also note that Dead Air took care of the owner of that suppressor even though we couldn't find any smoking gun with the mount.
