The Macomb County Communications and Technology Center (COMTEC) is a 25,000-square-foot state-of-the-art facility at the Department of Roads that monitors road conditions for the department, residents, motorists and first responders. Macomb County's use of technology is critical to monitoring real-time traffic flow, signal operations, and managing emergency responses to incidents on the roadways. Our advanced communications network is at the core of everything we do at the Traffic Operations Center.
